The car is in good condition and the Golde Top works fine. The car is in storage( July in AZ is really no time to be driving these cars) and needs a front end alignment and good cleaning and has 2 door dings that I’m getting taken care of and ready to put it up for sale."

Hi Dano, I have asked him already and am waiting for a response. He asked me if I knew where he could find a set of '63 Falcon bucket seats. I gave him some websites to check. If anyone has any other leads, please let me know and I will pass them on to him.

Here is what Paul said about what it sold for. As many of us know, you often do not get out of it what you put into it when you sell it....

"I sold the TBird for $14,000, a lot less than I wanted to get for it. The car was flawless but for non- working windshield wipers and radio. The chrome all around had little to no defects, there was a small repaired tear to the interior on the left rear side panel. The engine compartment was real clean as was the entire underside. I had door dings and any small spots addressed & repaired in August/ September of this year so there was no body or paint flaws. I was the 3rd owner and knew the 2nd owner as well as the guys who did many of the repairs here locally. The engine was rebuilt in 1998 and the transmission in 2006.

The buyer was those guys from the History Channel show, “Counting Cars”. The main character is Danny who wears a du-rag and calls everyone, “brother-man”. Their website is http://www.classiccarslasvegas.com/ but the car doesn’t appear on the website yet. They sent a car carrier yesterday so I don’t really know when they will have it up for sale."

Here is a pic of them taking the Golde Top away. I happen to watch Danny and "Counting Cars" all the time. I have it set to record new shows, so I will watch for it and see what they do with this Golde Top.

Now I am saddened at this sale, these characters can't leave a great car alone and for the most part butcher a classic . Don't get me wrong I'm fascinated by customs , but on every day , dime a dozen cars . But when one starts talking limited production rare classic collector cars I cringe . That is one program I hope I miss of theirs ! Just me guys !

I agree that he is in business to make money. Let's hope that he already has a potential buyer and will keep this rare classic as is.
