    Replacing Vinyl Top

Recently I have acquired another 1960 Squarebird that has a hardtop roof with Vinyl that is in horrible condition. Where would you turn to fix such a problem? Should I turn to a internet provider who remakes a 'clone' Vinyl roof to put on it after taking the old one off or should I try buying a NOS Vinyl, cost ? Google doesn't seem to really have the answers but I bet you guys do
    Thanks,

Squarebirds never had a vinyl top. Probably best to remove it and repaint the top the correct color.

            Replacing Vinyl Top

A vinyl top on a car might look nice, and many do. However, it is my understanding that over time, they wear, crack, peel, and allow water to get into the roof surface and start rusting it out. Depending on how long that vinyl top has been on the car, you might find that problem if you take that vinyl top off...

              Can of worms!!

In the past I have seen vinyl roofs fitted for a number of reasons they main one is to cover some sort of damage to the roof in the majority of cases hail damage. You may be opening a can of worms removing it but you may be lucky

You can remove it with a heat gun. As far as a vinyl top on a 60...Do what you like...not what all the "correct" opinions are. Personally, I think a vinyl top would look nice. Goggle Vinyl tops in your area and see what comes up. I was recently quoted $450 to do my 60.

Probably went on for the same reason I bought a leisure suit....seemed like a good idea at the time.
