    09-11-01

    I will never forget 09-11-01.

For the current generation, this is our "Pearl Harbor". It is a day we will hopefully remember for the rest of our lives. A day were we will always remember were we where on this day. A day we will remember what we were doing when these terror attacks began to unfold around our country. A day when we will ALL remember those who fell in the line of duty, those who stood up against the terrorist, those who fought back! These Americans didn't think of themselves. They thought it was their job or duty. It was the right thing to do on this day.

    We will never forget.

    God bless the USA.

I have a thoughts on this that I have held them for some time. We DO NOT mention 12-7-41 by a date. We call it what it was an attack on Pearl Harbor and by extension the USA. We SHOULD NOT mention the date of the TERRORIST ATTACKS as a memory of that specific date, but what it truly was an ATTACK on US. It sickens me and my heart aches for our great losses from the the hands of the Terrorists.
Let us remember and celebrate Independance Day and Memorial Day for our bravely fought sacrificed and died for the freedoms we have.
So let us call this day the day the Terrorists Attacked. I think it points out how truly EVIL it was. When we simply mention the date 9-11, somehow it can be interpreted as somewhat les evil.

        that's a very good point Wildcat15.

In this age of political correctness (gag), people are too scared to call things what they really are.
my-oh-my! we might offend the very people who have a policy to eradicate us.

I've recently read in the news that the UK has stopped teaching about the Holocaust in schools because it might offend the growing Muslim population over there. You know, Iran's president says it was all a hoax.

        are you kidding me?

there's a lot of other things I'd like to call 9-11 that aren't suitable for this forum. It's too bad we didn't take a more proactive and stronger position immediately following the ATTACK. If I were in charge, I'd have a calous on my thumb from pushing the button...again and again!

God bless our military men and women...they are fighting a foe with no morals and character and are forced to do so with one hand tied behind their backs.

Grandpa always said "don't bring a knife to a gunfight".

there are times for restraint and there are times for a good old-fashioned a**-kicking.

        sorry.
this topic hits close to home for me.

            9-11

9-11 or Terrorist Attack, call it what you want. It all leads to the same thing. We as Americans need to take care of our own. We are Americans first and we should not have to worry about who is going to lead us into the future. Do we need someone with a new direction or some one who can take our past directions and bring it back on course. To do this we need a true American, with Amreican roots, not roots belonging to some foreign interest. Yes, being a Muslin is a religion, but anymore the Muslins are the ones harboring the terrorist roots.

We don't need another 9-11 to wake us up. Lets all try and remember that day and work toward it not ever happening again. Lets keep America free of terrorism. Freedom is not free or cheap! We need to do what we need to do.

thank you for your service sir!!
This country often forgets the gratitude they owe to their service personnel.
thank God for people like you who sacrificed so much to preserve the freedom we all enjoy.

The things some of us DO with that freedom are questionable and lately verging on socialism, but may we never forget those who served....

Gentlemen and Ladies. Not being an American does not preclude my horror, when I saw the first plane hit the tower in amazement. When the second one hit I was devastated. I remember exactly where I was, who I was with, similar to when President Kennedy got shot. As your neighbour to the north, with the largest unprotected border in the world, we too will never forget and continue to fight againgst terrorism.

Thanks for all the comments.. Dano, as I recall during today's ceremonies, I saw a Canadian flag flying... There were people from 95 countries killed in that attack they said again today. Some of them were our fine neighbors to the north.. Canadians...

To all military personnel here, active duty and retired... and to all those having children or family in military service... I will use the old Marine slogan.. Semper Fi... Always Faithful...

Dano, congratulations on your wedding anniversary!

When I said: "Freedom is not free or cheap! We need to do what we need to do." It is meant for all the free nations of the world. Terrorism is everywhere and we must not forget those events of 9-11. We all have to stand together and fight for that freedom. War is not nice or kind, but living in fear under dictators is wrong and we must have a united front to fight this opression and evil in the world.

Yup. It's true. It's also THE reason that McCain is going to win. I have yet to meet even a single Jewish person who plans to vote for President Obama Heusain, because his loyality between Israel and the Arab Nations is definately with the Arab Nations. Regarding 9-11, I'd like to see it called "The attack of 9-11 on the American people."
