The only decal on the 430 air cleaner is the silver parts replacement sticker on the passenger side.

Obviously from a Lincoln, but it fits pretty nice in this spot.
How else will the rest of the world know what engine it is

            430 Air Filter Decal

To us Tbird owners, it is easy to spot a 430 from a 352... All ya have to do is to look at the overflow tank. It the ends of it are pointing towards the fenders, it should be a 352. If the ends of that tank are pointed towards the radiator and the firewall, like yours is, it is a 430MEL engine. Also there are a few other differences, but that is one of the easiest ways to tell...

Of course I can tell now, but it's cool to see "430" for casual observers at the shows. I'm starting to think this sticker was not actually stock on any car. I looked at as many Lincoln engine bays as I could find on the net, did not see any sticker indicating a 430 engine on any car.

My '73 Lincoln Continental has a 460. Not sure what the 60's Suicide Doors had...

I've had Lincoln air cleaners with that decal. It may have only been used on certain years.

In 1966 Lincoln enlarged the 430 to 462 cu.in. - Those engines received a similar version of the decal pictured on a blue-painted air cleaner (all Ford-made engines were painted Ford Corporate Blue starting in '66). Prior to that I'm not aware that Lincoln offered a decal to ID the 430 - it well could be that the decal pictured is an aftermarket "one-off" made for pre-'66 Lincolns much like the "390-flag" decals have been advertised/sold for pre-'65 T-birds when in fact they weren't used. Plus, from '61 to '66, the Lincoln's 430 air cleaners and valve covers were painted black.

Now that I think about it I believe you are correct about the decal. The last Lincoln air cleaner that I had was painted the original corporate blue and had a similar decal but it may have said 462 and not 430. As you said I don't believe any 430's were painted blue from the factory.
