    One good turn,

After installing the choke housing I did a favor for some the elderly yesterday, I got some car people together and had a mini show at the annual elderfest. The T-bird was a big hit. The runs so nice that the hot weather did not effect it. I have been storing the car to early need to drive it more, felt good.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0/IMG_2224.jpg

Birdbrain that is an outstanding looking 60 and a very unique color. I am sure that the older generation really appreciated the classics coming over as they probably at one time, owned one.

          Memories

Yes, they had some interesting stories, one lady asked me if the car ever took off in reverse, I told her she knows these cars very well, however the T-Bird owners have solved that problem. She was releved. Oh yes those are curb finders. My father had a red and white 59 I tried to park it (age 11) and hit the white wall on the curb. I never forgot that, soap and brush for 2 hours. Then I went out and found my switch.....

The colour was discussed last month on this thread: http://www.squarebirds.org/vbulletin...ead.php?t=5149
It seems as it was a "home made light blue pearl. Love it!
I copied a pic on this car and gave Cilla, who is responsible for all exterior colours hera at Volvo Design, to check how close we are in our history of colours. We´ll se what´s happend. The good thing is that it works great with my red / white interior as well. Hmmm... Might have to put my Green theme on the second thought list....
A good thing these days is that I won the bidding of a set of ´60 interior alu trim, incl. the grab-handle for the door on Ebay With 1 sec to go. Just need to find the parts that goes in under tha dash also. Anyone have a fine pair of those?

                  T-Bird color scheme

Fellows, I love nice vivid colors, I own a couple of paint manufacturer books. When I would build a car I did not like looking at the color books for the most recent ford, chevy mopar's, also the fact that somebody could easily have the same color that I had frightened me.

The color you see on my bird comes from The Dupont fleet color book. Once the color is chosen "Pastel blue" I than add an effect in this case it's blue pearl, I than add a premier clear 4 coats for wet sand and buff and wala I have a color that no one else has, when it comes to the interior that same color can be duplicated in vinyl dye it's cheap long lasting and it can be gotten in gloss or regular. It spray's in a paint gun and dries quick. The seats are hand made covers double stiched from scratch.
