Hi guys, on my 62 I have a relay on the firewall behind the intake with 3 terminals one being a screw type the other 2 slip on type. there is one heavy gauge black wire without a connector in the end next to the relay that has power to it. I thought maybe it was the horn relay but I believe the horn relay is at the front nest to the rad. Can anyone shed some light on this. Thanks

I believe that's the power window relay.

I'm thinking someone may have bypassed the relay. There should be a thin red wire(hot) that comes from the ignition switch, a black wire that goes to the window switch plate and a thick black wire that comes from the starter solenoid(also hot). You can connect the red wire to the black wire that goes to the window switches and bypass the relay but I wouldn't recommend it. The black wire from the solenoid would be hot as you described.

Relay question
Gas, if you do not have the wiring diagrams for your Bulletbird look in the Technical Resource Library. All the Tbird wiring diagrams are there, including your Tbirds. The link to the TRL is always part of my signature element on any post I make. Go to the TRL, hit CTRL F, to search, type in Wiring Diagrams and it will take you right to them. Scroll down until you come to the ones for the Bulletbirds.
