I quickly painted my new battery tray to match the original paint and now that I am ready to install it I am noticing it does not bolt in as other cars do. I did not see installation instructions nor did I see anything other than a generic diagram for the battery tray. I assume this was spot welded from the factory and I am going to have to weld it in? Ugh.

I left the old one in for now. I will cut the old one out and weld in the new one in a few weeks. Ugh.Comment

If it can be spot welded, it can also be bolted. My battery tray was eaten away when I bought the car so I welded my own out of flat stainless. I welded short sides so they would trap the battery and made a hold-down biscuit to grab and hold the bottom of the battery down.
It sure works better than that plank of wood the PO had in there. When I pulled the wood out I could see through to the driveway. - DaveMember, Sons of the American Revolution
