        Very cool.
I'm headed this direction with my '53 Olds.
I'm adding some deep red ghost flames too!

        that looks very nice.

          Thanks!
I'm debating on flames.Maybe satin or semi gloss black flames off of the front wells along the side.Almost a ghost.I do like the old hot rod red and orange flames outlined in white.
          Send pix. when its done

where did you buy your paint? is it available at local-type paint shops or do you have to order it?

I know in the fifties, it was cool to have your custom car in red, gray or black primer.

It seems to be a revived trend to have custom cars in non-gloss colors. I have also seen cars in unusual textured finishes. One guy painted his whole pickup truck with the rough protective type paint used for the bed-liners.

I met a Dupont rep. at a car show and he set me up with a specialty shop, but you can get it most auto paint shops. The industrial is the same as car quality just cheaper.

                  It's still cooool!!!
In the fifties they used to rub oil onto the primer to get it to shine. Not so great for the enviroment. Thanks dad!
You can get almost any color in flat/satin/semi gloss/gloss
Nice thing 'bout the flat is with a little light sanding you can shoot over it with just about anything. And this is a sealed paint no clear coat.

Even Harley is jumping on the band wagon. They call it Denomn (like jeans-spl chk) but flat colors.

Old school or Rat Rod. My 1st car was a primer black Dodge Charger. Cool then too . . . It was a beater.

The C6 swap was pretty easy, Just need to move the crossmember back an inch or so and drill new holes in the floor board.

The car is looking good, can't wait to see completed pics.
