    radiator capacity

I have a 62 t-bird and am wondering how many gallons of the 50/50 the tank will take. Larry

    Radiator Capacity

Can anyone help Larry with this question? I looked in the Restoration Manual but could not find anything on this. I also did a search on our Forum and did not find anything on radiator capacity either, for this series of Tbirds. The capacity of the cooling system on a '59 Squarebird is 20 quarts, according to the '59 Tbird shop manual. This might be of help to you.

There was some discussion last week about replacement, re-cored and new radiators. As I recall the ones available at bird nest were listed to all fit 59-66 birds. With a big block FE engine all cooling system capacities should be the same. I imagine the 430 MEL would have a different capacity. My 58 shop manual also lists 20 qts.

Larry - as the other members have said, your cooling system capacity is 20 qts. All this information is in the '62 shop manual.
