    1960 Y block

On the rear of my 352 y block. Is a valve with a tube that goes to the rear on the car towards the Cruse-A-Matic . It is just above the bell housing. Can somebody tell me what it is for? I have seen it on several other Thunderbird,s. It looks to be a factory instalation.

    Tube ...

Well first off your 352 is an FE engine not a Y-block. The tube you see is a road draft tube to accommodate crankcase ventilation. It,s a good idea to replace it with a PVC setup. Mike

Larry, you may be referring to a test valve that was left on some Squarebirds. If the picture below is the valve you are talking about, you can just leave it there or disconect it.
We have discussed this before; do a search for 'schrader valve'.

Larry, I have moved your post again, from out of the Technical Resource Library to the Squarebirds Forum, where it should have been.
