    Don't watch the girls

Last fall we had taken a trip to Ind. and I pulled into a gas station to fill up,and I ran over on the covers to a fill pipe in that is used to fill the underground tanks, this cover was raised about 6" I thought that I had raked the frame but when I got home I was going to change the oil and then I saw what I did. This week I just finished putting a new oil pan and pick up screen on the car, I was very lucky that I didn't damage anything else and I didn't lose oil pressure, and yes I was looking at a very sharp girl when I did this.

I hope she was worth it!

You were pretty **** lucky not to have ripped a hole in your pan.

I do admire you for jacking up your engine off the mounts 3" so you could slide that pan off and on with the new oil pick up. Was it only 3" or did you go higher? Did you happen to check for the VIN# on your cross member while you had your head down there?

                Oil Pan Damage

My God, you mean you didn't know you did that much damage when you hit it? I am surprised you didn't go through the windshield.

I hope you got her number.

She must have been one heck of a looker, you probably thought that it was the pounding of your Heart (the thud that is). The damage looks similar to one of my cars after Jr, ran over a large rock. It was with my '78 Ford LTD 13 years ago. He hit the front of the Oil Pan & created internal damage costing me around $800. He was 17 at the time so we'll have to excuse him.
