I am currently looking for a new set of aftermarket wheels for my 60 bird. But unfortunatly im about 3500km (2100mi) from my car most of the year. I was wondering if anyone knew the PCD and offset for the hubs. Also if anyone has put oversize wheels on what di and width has been reached without too much dramas?

I believe you will at least need 15" rims if you expect to ever run discs up front.
Run a search on this site. There is tons of information on that brake swap.
I have some vintage 15" Ansen Sprint mags on my car. Drums on all fours yet. There is all sorts of room in the fenderwells of these cars. You just need the right backspacing; especially on the rears.Comment

Im going to be running 20" front and 22" rear so clearence of the breaks is no problem its the overall diamiter im worried about as to what profile tyre i can run.

This is the thread you should read. It takes a very long time because there is loads of information. Some points you need to consider are:
Wheel center hole diameter
Rotor diameter
Parts support
Wheel configuration and tire sizes
Front sway bar clearance
Combination Proportioning Valve
Dual Master Cylinder
Firewall mounting
Brake pedal rod
Two Stage 8" booster
Type of brake fluid
...and much more.
Howard Prout successfully converted his Squarebird to Power Disk Brakes using parts that are still in production, which brings the cost down considerably. He has been riding around on his new brakes for two years and they are flawless.
Did I mention that Howard is a Mechanical Engineer and Designer? Dr. Prout teaches at universities around the US and Canada. I have seen his design and fabrication work first hand. It's gorgeous.
Howard doesn't do anything half way. Regarding this disk brake conversion, Howard, Ray Clark, and I have researched many different methods, price ranges, and availability for the Squarebird. Some advertised systems (on eBay) do not work at all. Others interfere with the front sway bar. I didn't read that whole thread on brakes, so I may have already discussed my setup, but I could get back with the guy that helped me get my 14.5 inch Willwood's on my car. At the time we did the 58, no one had anything that was that large on the market ready for the squarebirds.
I can tell you we did using the stock spindle and retained the stock sway bar mount, to items that were important to me at the time. We used a GM master, but you could run a Ford master if you wanted, it would just need to be a disc/disc master.
And I believe Wilwood does have a rear disc setup for the Ford 9 inch already, so you wouldn't need to recreate anything in the back to get a matching setup.
I looked and I don't really have a decent photo of the discs with a rim in front of it. But it fills up the 17s I am running really well.

I will have to go large breaks anyway as I am replacing the 352 with a 460bb and Australian road rules are very strict on those kind of things (thank god I have a friend at the motor registery hahahahaha). But seeing as I am still at the bodywork stage the original question was about if anyone knew the PCD and offset for the hubs and if anyone has put oversize wheels on there bird, if so what diameters have been reached? I'm running 17" x 8" all around with zero offset with 235/55R17 tires:
I have very slight rubbing at lock on the bolt heads for the steering gear on the driver's side. Lots more room in back, but not much more up front.
I've still got drums all around with no plans to change that at this point, although discs would look better.
Personally, I think these cars look better with 17"-18" rims and tires with a bit more meat than a 20"-22" would allow. Seems truer to the original style, yet still modern. That's just me though.Comment

I am running 235/60 16s on 16" x 8" wheels. There are a couple pictures on the denman thread. As Salguod said plenty of room in the back. I couldn't find a design wheel I liked so I went with smoothies. 17s are available but the price goes way up. I told myself going up two inches was respectable. Not following convention with the skinny whites though. I may try widening them with paint (rangerpaint.com) but first I'll get the stance right and see how it looks. It's going to be a long winter-I'm anxious to get back to work on the car and be on the road.1960 HT
