Rich just recently joined our Forum. Here is the information on his '60 Squarebird he just recently acquired.
"Hi Ray, Great thanks for the quick response. The guy I bought it from has had it sitting in a barn in NH since his brother passed away in 1993. His brother lived in South Carolina and had owned the car for about 20 years. Driving it occasionally, but usually only on the weekends. He bought it from a plantation owner in Georgia who was the orig. owner of the car and it was his "Sunday go to church car". After the guy's brother passed, he trailered it up to NH, and it's been in the back of the barn ever since. It's not been started in 15 years, but looks like it could turn right over and run. I'm going to have a mechanic friend of mine come over and take a look at the engine this weekend. The interior looks really complete and in decent shape. The pain is just terrible and it look like a rusty mess, but it's all surface rust and will clean up fine. The chrome... is in almost perfect shape and hardly a pit to be found. We plan on repainting her the orig. light blue, with the black top.
Here are a couple photos of the old girl as we found her at the sellers house. She's tucked in my garage now and we're taking her apart to check the bones and see what we've got.
