    CVR Wiring

    1959 Convertible

The notes on this photo says the green wire goes to the accessory lug on the ignition switch. Is that right? I'm questioning myself here - its my note from a year ago...

Yes, it goes on the accessory terminal.

Your wiring looks great! I love the terminal strip too.

I support what John posted and I would like to add:
If you look on the CVR terminals, one is marked 'IGN'. If you wire that to your accessory terminal the gauges will work when you turn the key either left or right (along with power windows, convertible top, etc.). This is how the wiring diagram is shown.

But, if you wire to the key switch Ignition side, the gauges will only work when the key is turned to the right. This would be my choice only because I don't need gauges to listen to the radio, for example.

Both gauges are identical inside and neither are polarity specific so it's hard to get it wrong. Lookin' good. - Dave

Thanks John and Dave, here's a wide shot of the dash back side. I epoxied the terminal strips on to make the whole set up easier to manage.

          I have a suggestion...
Either extend your inline fuse holders or mount a small fuse block somewhere accessible. Since you have the dash out, now is the time to do this important change. - Dave
