I own a 62 convertible do they give instructions on how to install this item in my car. From 1-5 five being the most difficult. I have pulled my stering wheel off before. Thank You Larry

Hi Larry,

long time no hear...trust you have been well?

I replaced my detent last year using the Sosiak model - went smoothly however be aware the instructions you see are not 100% complete for our 62' models.

To get the chrome collar off, DO NOT try and lever it as you will break it. I had to remove the clamp near the steering box thus the steering shaft slipped right out and that enabled the collar to come off...after removing those 2 pesky bolts!!

Once I got there it was as per the instructions, quite simple, just take it slowly and take some photo's to be sure!
