Hi guys! Thank you for the warm welcome!!! Sorry for the long reply! But I'm brand new to the tbird world, but found a complete 58 t bird, but it is really badly rotted and the frame has rotted away in the rear, so I was able to get in contact with I believe he is a member on here, Carl, he's in pa, he got in contact with me for parts but ended up getting a 1960 tbird from him for the foundation of the build since it was much more solid, but hopefully next year she will be done by some miracle! Lol, thanks for letting me join!

        Welcome, Crazy58tbird !!

I resized the pix you posted of your '58 and '60 for you. There is a way to resize them in Photobucket. Until you learn to do so, if you have pix to post, please send them to me, or John ~ jopizz. From hereon, anything else you would like to share with us, please do so in the 1958-1960 Squarebirds Technical sub-forum and not here. Here are the pix.

          Welcome, Crazy58tbird !!

Hi Tyler, I see you a quite a young Tbird owner, and that is great! I also see you have obtained a 1960 from Carl Heller ~ partsetal on here! You have contacted someone who really knows his Squarebirds. That is all he deals with. He has lots of parts and some parts car Squarebirds, as you now know. He can be a big help to you, as can John Pizzi ~ jopizz, and our webmaster, Dave Dare ~ simplyconnected. They all have many years of experience to fall back on.

If you do not have a shop manual, and a few other manuals you can get one from any of the Tbird parts houses. They are all listed in the Advertisements Forum. Call or email them and ask for the free catalog be sent to you. You will need them. All the electrical diagrams for the car are in our Technical Resource Library (TRL) on the Forum.

Are you going to restore the '60, and use parts off the '58? Since the '58 seems to be pretty well rusted, that might be the better way to go. Most of the parts will be interchangeable. That is what I would do. I understand that you already have the '60, and that is good! It looks like you got a better car to work with.

There is one thing you can do for me, or I can fix it for you. Your Photobucket pix are to big for the Forum. Downsize them to 800x600pixels in Photobucket. If you do not know how to do that, let me know and I will downsized them for you without using Photobucket. Congratulations and good luck with the Squarebird!

Yeah I loved old cars since I was 12 and rebuilt a 69 vw bug and finished by the age of 14 lol, then had 3 1957 plymouths, couple trans ams, and a Chevelle but I really have fallen in love with the 58-60 t birds, the style but also the big classic boats.... Love the bigger cars! Yes Carl is awsome! He blew my mind with how many t birds he had and parts! That was Thunderbird heaven!!! And he helped alot already with the rolling shell for the build! My 58 actually came with a bunch of manuals etc... So I believe I have it(:

Yup! Ganna restore the 60 since it needs much less metal work, just ganna use the the 58 for parts, and somehow change the taillight panels over so it looks like a 58 (:

I would change the size but I honestly have no idea how
            Ty

              Welcome, Crazy58tbird !!

Tyler, I think it is fantastic that you have such a love for old cars! We need more younger people like you who do. Most of the parts will be interchangeable. I see you are gonna use the '60 to make it look like a '58. Carl or John ~ jopizz, should be able to tell you what it will take to change out those rear lights to the one from the '58. It is good that you got a lot of manuals with it, because they will come in handy. You will also want to put the '58 badging on the doors, hood C column and trunk on the '60 body. Good luck with your project!
