Pulled the valve cover off the side that was ticking. Noted more sludge than I would like, so I decided to just pull the common rail and pushrods.
Well, found the pushrod on cynl 5, I think it is, was bent at about a 30 to 40 degree angle. Spent Sat with the boy cleaning up the top end, put in a new pushrod.
repainted the valve covers and put her back together.
Fired her up and the motor runs and sounds very good now. This car's motor actually feels stronger than the 65 Special.
The boy is very excited to see and hear the car running smooth.
Now to the trans, seems reverse works until you put a load on her, then it doesn't move at all....
