    Power steering pump O-ring

My P/S pump is leaking fluid where the reservoir joins the pump body.I assume it is a bad pump houisng O-ring that is the culprit.
My question is does anyone know if it can be replaced with a generic O-ring from maybe a Ace Hardware store.???

Now that I look at the manual, the leak might be coming from the flow director o-ringf???

      Washer not O-ring

I bought a rebuild kit for less then $12.00 you can get them at any local auto store or on line vendor. the O-rings that seal the reservoir to the pump are not really O-rings they are more like thick flat rubber washers.

I will presume that a O-ring will fit this area and should seal with no problems sense both sealing areas are flat.

      Good luck with your leak.

My control valve is leaking again! I just rebuilt the complete power steering system less then 90 days ago.
