1956 T-Bird exported to Argentina came back in 1962

I have a 1956 T-bird my Mom bought it in 1962. I have never seen one like it I'm restoring it now bringing it back to original. Has original 312 engine three speed manual with O/D speedometer is in kilometers AM radio no heater Colonial White with black and white interior. Seems most came with automatic trans and power everything.
Just wondering if it's as special as I think it is lol

You can buy a new lens in MPH. Vendors have them.
Just about any Thunderbird with a manual shift is rare. One with overdrive is even more rare.
The '56 T-bird would be a great car to restore because it has a full frame. Most all the panels are available, too.

I think the most uncommon parts are the 12 volt gauges.
1956 was the first and only year to use 12 volt gauges. In '57, Ford quickly went back to 6 volt gauges with a constant voltage regulator, and kept that scheme for decades. - Dave

Ron, CASCO is one major company that has parts for 1955-1957 Tbirds. That is their main business. You will find them listed in the Advertisements Forum further down the Forum. Their contact information and website are listed there, if you need them. Good luck with the restoration! It should look like new when you are finished.

Looks like Mac's has a couple offerings at a few bucks less:

This lens goes to 150 mph and it has recessed numbers.

This lens was used on regular Ford cars. - Dave
