    Greetings and a picture request

Greetings! I did not see a area for new users to say hello so I'll add that with my request. I'm a 18 year old and, as with the money from my first cars sale, I have a 1960 thunderbird (will post pics later). Been restoring it with my dad and am thinking of making it into quite the street machine.

Alright onto my request. I am animating and rendering in autodesk viz my t bird. Problem is I cannot get a top down picture (not tilted straight over the top of the car looking straight down). I would be very gratefull for such a type of pic from a 60 squarebird or a side view, top front, back or such schematic view (with just the body line and such).

I appreciate any response and I will post pics either today or tomorow.

    Welcome to the board.

I do not have that kind of picture. Would an overhead picture of a model be adequate? I can take one tonight.

I seem to remember a technical drawing looking down on the top of the car in the shop manual or perhaps one of the vendor catalogs. I'll check tonight.

When you get it rendered, could you send me a copy?
      I'm operating Autodesk/Architectural Desktop 2005 and also have a '60 Bird.

By the way - welcome to the board. You'll find just about eveything you ever wanted to know about squarebirds on this site.

      EXCELLENT choice in motor vehicles!!

A model may work if you can get it to show all the lines.

And are you wanting the .max file or are you wanting a picture of it? I plan on (after making just a normal version) animating it so that it shifts through all three gears goes a ways then breaks really hard (focusing on body movement and camera movement. I will not have a background to pull all attention to the car.)

This is the recently released Sun Star 1/18 scale diecast 1960 Thunderbird convertible.

Man that is almost perfect! Do you have a hardtop version (not lucky enough to have a convertible)?

I have some 1/43 scale Squarebird Hard Top models. They are not as detailed as the 1/18 scale obviously. Could you make a composite of the two models.

Under the weather for a while so I was not posting.

I think I will use the one you gave me as the tope and just get the lines I need from a hardtop side pic (if you have a model and get a pic of this it would be much easier since it has been below freezing lately...)

The top one is great! I think the bottom one would work though if it was centered a little bit. I cannot have the car or camera tilted they must be parralell to each other. But thanks for doing all this, I really appreciate it
