Hi all,
I’ve got a weird problem. This morning I started, and I shut of the car without problems. When I later started the car again I could not turn the engine off. OK, I had about 50 miles to drive home, everything went well during the journey home. Home in the garage I disconnected the wire from the distributor to the coil to stop the engine, but the ignition is now on all the time.
I have to disconnect the battery to “switch off the ignition”. I have tried to start the car again. When I connect the battery, the starter motor runs directly, but the engine will not start. I have sparks on sparkplug No. 1. I also have Pertronix Ignitor installed. I can also mention that the + terminal on the starter relay gets hot when I crank the engine.
If you have any solution to how I can turn off the ignition when It should be turned off, I am very grateful.
Eric
