    Hi

    Well I just picked up my first car to restore (63 bird) Its in decent shape but a totall restore is needed I just found this site and hope its a good one

    Congrads..........your 63 should be a tiny bit easier to work on compared to our uni-body Squarebirds. My dad had a 61 "Bulletbird" and I fell in love with old T-birds immediately. I still remember the swing away wheel.... "rocket-ship like" interior.......and that low deep rumble.....Ahhhhhh ! You will find this site VERY VERY helpful.

      Welcome. We have a group of very knowledgable people here who can offer you advice.

      The Thunderbirds from 1958 to 1966 were all unibody.

        Alex?? I thought the front fenders can come off of later birds???

          Yes, the front fenders unbolt on the 1961-66 Thunderbirds like conventional cars, but they are still unibody, as there is no seperate frame.
