    color of interior trim for 61 t bird

    Hi all!
    I purchased all new aluminum interior trim panels for my bird and would like to know what color was used on the originals. My bird is paint code 54-

    I'm pretty sure they were plain aluminum. I don't think colored trim panels came out until 1962.

      It appears to be some sort of color maybe anodized? I see some color on the panels I removed and on pics in pinterest and other sites who show the trim. If just plain, I could live with that. Might look cool if I polish them?

        The Ford parts book only shows aluminum for 1961. It shows aluminum, beige, blue and turquoise for 1962 and 1963. Here's a couple of pictures I found on line of 1961's with beige interior like yours. The trim appears to be plain aluminum. Even if it was colored I doubt you would be able to replicate the process that was used. I would just keep it as is.

            Hi Gary, in the Welcome that was posted to you in the New Members Welcoming Forum, there is information on how to post pix on this Forum. Basically, if you are a Paid Member ($20yr), you can post pix directly on our server. To become a Paid Member, go to the top of the Forum and you will see the link to PayPal where you can click on it and Donate to Site. If not, you can use one of the free photo hosting websites, downsize your pix to 800x600pixels, and post the link to them in the appropriate Forum.
