Retorque heads

As you know my can started to steam yesterday, some one from my club said that retorque of the head might solve my problem, I think my head gaskets were on wrong period however they said if I retighten the head in sequence that it my solve the problem any thoughts?

It is worth a try, if you never retorqued the bolts after the engine had warmed up and cooled.
