    Thank you.

Thank you for the great welcome.
I will, at some point, post some pictures of my Thunderbird. For now,...I am just having a look around, (I don't actually take possession of my T-bird untill the end of next week). But I wanted to see what you lot are about. I do have questions about body panels, parts,..etc and how easy they are to get hold of. At some point I will need to find a bonnet, (hood), for her and I would like to find some cheap fender skirts too.
I am looking forward to owning the car and hope to talk to some or all of you over the next few years of happy motoring!?!?
    Thanks again,
    Mark.

      Welcome, 3window !!

      Hi Mark,

Congratulations on your Tbird you are about to take possession of!

We "lot" (lol) are all about restoring our Tbirds, making them run better, and helping each other out doing that! As I said, we have the greatest Tbird Techies around the world on here, willing and able to answer questions, make suggestions, save you money, time and headaches.

To find the vendors who specialize in Tbird parts, click on the Main Site Home button above. On the home page you will find a list of many vendors we get our parts from. Their contact information will be there, or their websites. If you have Skype, you will be able to call them for free and talk with them, if they have Skype set up on their system. They will be very helpful in finding and shipping parts. Don at the Bird Nest is one vendor I do a lot of business with especially because they have a lot of parts and they know their stuff.

Finding a bonnet in England would save you a lot of shipping costs. There are parts cars in this country where you might be able to find one off of. Packing and shipping is going to be expensive, I would think. Fender skirts should not be hard to come by. You will probably also have to buy the rubber skirting that goes on them.

As you have questions, need help, feel free to contact me via email or Private Message (PM) or post away in the Squarebirds Forum. Welcome aboard!

Welcome, Mark. Feel free to jump into any conversation as we want to hear your opinions, stories, and ideas.

As Ray mentioned we have vendors, but it doesn't stop there. Right now, we are working on a power disk brake retrofit for the squarebird ('58-'60 T-bird). We have all the part numbers, best prices available, and full instructions, but our first setup hasn't been installed yet (Howard Prout should have his done in about a week). More on that later...

So, we are busy amidst snowy/winter months (whilst our pride is in garage-jail), setting up to cruise right 'n' proper during summer and fall.

Clear pictures are a must!.. and lots of them. Contact Coral for that department.

Congratulations on your pending '60 T-bird purchase. I know you will really love it. If this is a project, keep a 'finished project' picture posted on the wall so you can keep your eyes focused on the prize. We have great restorers here, eager to help.
