COMPLETE REAR LIGHTS + CARBURETOR FOR 390 ENGINE

THE ENGINE ON MY 1960 THUNDERBIRD HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A 390 ENGINE FROM A MERCURY CIRCA 67-69. THE ENGINE IS FINE BUT THE AUTO CHOKE ON THE CARB IS BROKEN INTERNALY AND I NEED A REPLACEMENT CARB. IT HAS A LINKAGE CONNECTION(NOT CABLE) WITH A ROUND BLACK CAP ON THE CORNER WHICH CONTAINS THE RELEASE SPRING THIS CAP IS HELD ON BY THREE BOLTS.

I ALSO REQUIRE TWO COMPLETE REAR LIGHTS WITH GOOD CHROME AS THE ONES I HAVE ON THE CAR AT PRESENT ARE PITTED. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU CAN HELP. KEN

It is very hard to find a NOS set of rear tail light chrome waffle assemblies. I have only seen one NOS waffle plate for a 1959 a few years ago. That was only for one side.

I have not heard that they will be reproducing these parts any time soon.

Your only real choice is to rechrome these pieces. You will need to find a place that has experience rechroming pot metal - a place where the they fill in the pits, not just grind them out.
