Hi! Sorry for the lengthy post, but I need to get this information out to you. Those of you who I have corresponded via email with received this by that method.
I have finally tweaked the "Alexander Sosiak Memorial Virtual Thunderbird Show & Shine" power show to the point where it is ready to go! Out of the 24 contributors, I only have about a dozen of your email addresses. So I am putting this on Squarebirds for the others.
The cost of producing and mailing a single CD is:
U.S. Postage - $1.85
CD Cost Each - $0.80
CD Mailer - $1.99
A total of $4.64 for U.S. Squarebirders
Overseas Postage - $4.60
CD Cost Each - $0.80
CD Mailer - $1.99
A total of $7.39 for Overseas Squarebirders
Postage to Canada is $4.40. A total of $7.19 for Canadian Squarebirders
One of our administrators has suggested that we ask for a contribution of $10 for the CD. Any amount over the production and mailing costs will be given to the Squarebirds Forum to help offset the cost of keeping our forum up and running. I ran this by other administrators/moderators and they agree with the fee.
So if you would like to have one of the CD's, please send me a $10 contribution, along with your mailing address and I will ship you one right out. Those that did not get an email from me send me a PM here and we can exchange mailing addresses. I do not want to post mine on the forum, nor should you.
Please keep in mind that Squarebirds is a non-profit organization.. All funds over the production and mailing costs will be forwarded on to John Peters (Driller) treasurer of Lincolns of Distinction and Squarebirds. John is working on getting the problems fixed that have come up with the passing of Alexander.
Those of you overseas, if you have access to U.S. Currency, that would be a big help to me. It is not always the best to send money through the mail, but if it is wrapped in paper so that it cannot been seen, it should be safe getting it to me. Or an international money order could do the trick.
Those of you in the U.S./Canada just send me a check or money order and that should do it.
Those of you overseas, feel free to copy the CD and share it with other Thunderbird owners in your country. We would like to see these CD's put to use at future Thunderbird Show & Shines across the world. There is a Mac and a PC version on each CD, along with the appropriate Viewer software that can be downloaded and executed for those who do not have Microsoft Office on their Mac or PC.
I hope that you will receive as much pleasure from this CD as I had putting it together from the pictures you sent me. It has been tested again and again, and is running well on my Mac (G4 running OS X 10.4.11(Tiger) & 1/2GB RAM) and my PC (Dual Pentium running WinXP and a GB of RAM). You might have problems if your PC is a bit aged, as this is a large file of about 71MB and runs for about 21 minutes and then will loop and keep running until you stop it.
Once you receive it, I would appreciate your comments regarding it on the forum or in email.
Best Regards,
Ray Clark
