Just took the valve body and pressure regulator out of the Bird to check their state. Both looked quite ok, with some sludge hidden at some places. Cleaned both and re-assembled, so I have question regarding the valve body. The throttle valve sticks out a bit and a blade spring keeps it in. Is this valve suppose to hit the blanking plate, which in fact limits its movement? I can see a wear mark on the plate, so suppose it to be normal like this, only the area where the valve hits the plate is very small. Due to it being that small, it has worn down a bit in the plate. The manual is not clear about this and also pictures which I could find on the net are not that clear.
