    Replacing Clock with tachometer??

    Guys,

Just been noodling around another rest-mod idea for my '63 and wanted to get your opinions/comments/recommendations/ideas.

I would like to add a tachometer and am seriously considering REPLACING the clock (darn thing never works anyway) with a 3-3/4" or 4" diameter 8K RPM tach.

Has anyone out there done that or seen it done?

    What you think?

    thanx,

      clock vs tach

when I got the 63 t-bird a year ago the clock did not run and I considered putting a tach in there, even bought a couple of used ones.

But after I tok the clock out and oiled it, it started working again, so the tach was not installed.

I also tried to mount a mini-tach on the steering column but the speedo and clock pods stick out so far I could not do that either.

I think the orginal clock , if working, looks the best.
