      The kickdown I believe has to be a rod that runs to the trans.

      EG - How did you mount the cable to the gas pedal? I am planning on working on the throttle hookup this weeknd and am seeing if you have any tips to get me started.

        Found a pin about 3 in long and 3/8 diameter with holes drill in it,a flat head on one side scroungin around at my local NAPA.Threaded the cable through and a codder pin on the oppsite side from the flat head.
        Have no idea what it's intended for.I have extras they came in a set of 4.I'll look @ the package later and see what the **** they are.
