    Power steering pump

Does anyone know of an aftermarket power steering pump that could work in a 59? Not looking for an original or oem replacement. Looking for a slimmer looking pump and or canister.

    Thanks in advance.

    RE: Power steering pump

Almost any kind of power steering pump will work if you can make up a bracket to attach it to the engine and get the hoses connected up. Why would you want to change the original Eaton power steering pump? They are very durable and reliable.

You may be able to even use an electric power steering pump from a Pontiac Fiero.

        RE: Power steering pump

Just seeing what the options are. Not sold on the change. I'm in the process of cleaning up the engine compartment and the engine itself. The canister just seemed a bit big that's all. i have nothing against the actual system.

Hope this makes sense and thanks for your input. You and or the guys on this site always have the best and accurate answers.

        Thanks again.
