An interesting thing about The Continentals is that there were at least 3 groups by that name in New York alone, one in Brooklyn and two others in New York. Across the country, there were also other groups by the same name, including one here in Texas! It was a popular name. Apparently, the group in this video never made it to the big time, which was often the case. On some websites, there is quite a discussion as to who started the surf music theme and mode of dress that cropped up and was made popular by the Beach Boys. Many cite the Beach Boys but this group was slightly before they formed. That question may never be answered fully.
I have about 18 Thunderbird songs, and if anyone is interested and would like to have them, email or PM me. I put them on a USB thumb drive, and plug it into a battery powered .mp3 player. I have been known to show up at S&S events, playing my Tbird music, or sitting it on the car to play til the battery runs down...
