Hello fellow Birds,

I just wanted to say thank you to anyone who has posted on our forum on how to work on our T birds.

I purchased my 62 T bird about a month ago, and noticed that the car would shift into revers when placing the steering wheel back to the center.

After reading several posts and what the problem is and how to fix it. I ordered the parts I needed and replaced the detent plate and shift lever.

I’m reporting back to say that my steering wheel now stays in park when placing it to the center and shifting even feels more secure.
