Richard Hord needs our help in prayer.

I had a long conversation with Richard Hord yesterday. He has had issues with a malfunctioning valve in his heart. So, on the 24th he will see the doctor for pre-op and the very next morning at 7am, surgery will begin at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

I am a praying man and as such, Richard invites everyone to pull for him and the doctor. I am not entirely sure about the procedure but I understand the doctor will make non-invasive cuts around his left nipple as a portal to repair the damaged valve.

Richard owns his own construction company and he also drives the bus for a public school. He has always been a hard-working man. This operation weighs very heavy with the school for the children that Richard transports safely every day.

I saw where Richard's Squarebird, Christiine, won 'best in show' yesterday. But, Richard's humility never mentioned a word about this very serious operation, upcoming in eight short days. Of course Dee Dee, Richard's wife, will be there with him.

God will be with you Richard, and so will our prayers and thoughts. - Dave Dare

Richard Hord needs our help in prayer.

Dave and I have been aware of Richard's heart problem for some time. He has been in our prayers as he went through the examinations to determine his heart problems. He told me that his doctor is going to try and repair a leaking valve in the high pressure side of his heart, between the lower and upper chambers. If its beyond repair he will receive a mechanical valve. This should be a pretty straight forward procedure, I understand.

I echo Dave's comments and for those who are inclined to do so, let's pray him, Dee Dee and family through this to a successful conclusion...

I echo all the above except I do take issue with "cuts" or the procedure being noninvasive. Prayers for the best result and an uneventful recovery.

                            Hey Guys,
THANKS! You will never know how much these post means to me. Three days and counting, tick, tick, tick I told my wife (Dee Dee) the other day after surgeon told us he wants to do Minimally invasive heart surgery instead of open heart. "This could only be prayers that my prayer warriors have pray to God" I have been on a roller-coaster ride for the last two weeks. From glad to get it done to crying like a baby. I know its in Gods hands now and I'm ready for what ever he has planed for me. I hope God blesses each and every one of you and I hope God loves THUNDERBIRDS LOL!
                            Love you guys!

Richard, I pray that God’s Grace may be with you. This morning I saw a quote and thought of you.

"… Prayer is a Powerful Weapon

Satan dreads nothing but prayer. His one concern is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, he mocks our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.” – Samuel Chadwick

The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective, as is the support and prayer from all of us in the world of Thunderbirds.
