I know that rebuilt units are available from several vendors. I'd really like to avoid getting one if I can though.
I'm about to start work on the power steering system since I got most of my parts in. Would it be worth my while to disassemble and inspect the control valve? I read that there are two seals internal to it, and I presume these are the primary source of leakage when the valve leaks. Thing is, I don't see the seals listed with the vendors I've checked.
Chances are I'm going to have to replace the valve. I'm just wondering whether taking it apart and messing with it is morelikely to hurt or help my chances of success with it.
