    Power window not working help

Had the Gold Bird at the shop for a new generator and when it was there it spent some time outside in the rain! Now the passenger window won't go up . They checked the switch and its getting power, could the motor in the door just be wet? Are those motors available from the bird suppliers if needed? Thanks for the help!

Mac's and Concours has them for $150+ and eBay has a used one for $100+.

Before buying a motor, check out your old one. Can you hear it turning? Does it pull in one direction? If not, you may have a bad circuit breaker/ground.

BTW, what did they change in your charging system? - Dave

Generator light came on a few weeks ago and it stopped charging. They replaced it with a new one, plus a new voltage regulator. I am hoping that the inside of the door has gotten wet and after it sits for a bit it will dry out..

My gut tells me that most of the window problems are due to switch contacts. They can be cleaned.

I had a flakey ground connection on my driver's window. Didn't find it until I took the inner door panel off. They didn't leave it outside in the rain with the window down, did they?!?
