        Dear Ray, Richard, and Dan,

Thanks very much for your warm welcome. I have been living on this site going over old posts in an effort to avoid bothering you guys with tired old questions.

I don't think I have ever loved a car before my 1958 Squarebird. This car is all I think about. I read through catalogs for fun. That's scary, but I don't mind.

I have about a million little things to do to this car: Everything from getting the speedometer working (have no idea how) to a carburetor rebuild (coming up this week) to replacing old visors to trying to get my radio working (the light comes on but no sound yet).

That's just the tip of the iceberg. She was restored in the 1990s, and generally runs beautifully. I have noticed that the generator light comes on a lot, but usually goes out once I get rolling.

I love this car. Will send photos.

        Thanks y'all!

        Rob

Rob sounds like you are well underway, to the understanding and appreciation of your special classic. If I can offer a suggestion, on the upcoming repairs you mentioned, take a section at a time. For example do the inside interior cab section ( speedo, visors, radio ) as one (1) project then complete it. Then turn to anything forward of the windshield and front clip area etc.etc.That way you don't have too may projects on the go at the same time and can concentrate on the focus required. Over the years, I have collected parts ( for both the 58 / 60 ) and if you require anything send me a PM e-mail.
