    1964 Seat

Seem to have misplaced my seat screws and clips for the aluminum pieces on my 64. It says S13 screws in the Osborne book. Would they be 9/64ths or 3.5mm? Also does anyone know if you can buy these clips?

Phil, first of all, I resized your pic to 800x600pixels for you. That is the limit for this Forum. Secondly, keep in mind that Clint66 has 4 1966 Flairbirds that he is parting out down in the For Sale / Parts Wanted Forum. I betcha (and John ~ jopizz might be able to verify this) that those parts you need are the same parts used in the '65 & '66 Flairbirds. You can probably get the clips and the exact screws from Clint. Send Clint66 a Private Message and ask him if he has them and if they look to be the same as to what you need... Clint, I hope that you have registered those 4 Tbirds VIN #'s, and Data Plate info in John Rotella's Tbird Registry as being parted out! If not, you can do so by going to http://tbird.info and doing so....

Might have found some clips here but I have to buy 100 and the shipping is more than the clips.

Thanks Ray I'll take a look.

When John ~ jopizz gets back on this morning, he probably can tell you if what you need in the way of those screws and the clips are the same as those on the '66. I would be surprised if he did not know, because he has repaired and restored a lot of them over his 40+ years. Clint should be willing to sell you the exact number of screws and clips you need. So, as I said in my PM to you, I will call him in the morning and ask him if he has them and can get them to you, IF John says they should be identical to all three years of Flairbirds...

I see you are looking at his ad. I also see that Clint said he will ship to where ever you are! So there ya go! IF they are the same parts on all three years, you can get the OEM parts right off one of his Flairbirds, and they cant weigh very much, so shipping should not be to bad. I have got to get some sleep, Phil, so I will say G'Night to you!

I assume you are looking for the 18 screws and clips that hold the seat trim. The screws are listed as 8-32 x 3/8" oval head. As for the clips I can't say for sure that the '66 clips are the same. For some reason they have a different part number than '64-'65 so I would assume that they are slightly different.

Thanks, John! I just talked with Clint and he will look at his clips. When he gets home tonight will see if he can compare them to the pic that Stubbie posted to see if they are the same. He should have the screws. He told me that when he redid his interior, the kit he bought had the screws with it, and the kit said for '64-'66 Tbirds... So, maybe the clips are the same. But he has them at home, and he will find some clips and see if they compare to what Stubbie posted...

                Hi Ray, John
Thanks for the info. Yes the 18 screws and clips from the front seat. My upholsterer took the seats apart and put on the new vinyl and gave me all the screws back in a container but of course that was 12 month ago and now I can't find the container. I should be able to buy the screws local now I know the size but doubtful on the clips. Cheers

Sorry for the delay. This is a photo of the back of the lower front seat panel. You can see the edge of the aluminum trim along the top edge. I'm also missing the spacers from behind the lower seat panel. Thanks
