    Hollywood In The 1950's

John Goulet sent me this link. You will probably enjoy seeing what Hollywood looked like in the 1950's. Check out the Tbird at the very end of the video clip! The title says Hollywood Blvd 1953, but that certainly is not a 1953 Tbird!

Pretty cool! - but as you mentioned - it's sure not from '53.

Saw a couple of '57 Fords and a very distinctive one year only design 57 Chevy wagon at one of the stop lights.

Cali. tags were black lettering on yellow plates in '56 then switched to yellow lettering on black plates in '60 so it's before 1960. There is a black '58 Cadillac Deville at the start with no tags ..... probably brand spankin' new so my guess it 1958.

Bet the Tbird was crashed pretty soon afterwards with driving like that but those were the days of no green arrow's in the turning lane - just stomp it and hope you beat the traffic - they were a bit late off the line (must have been texting - lol).

    Thanks for sharing Ray,
    Eric

Yeah Eric, I can't believe how rude their driving habits were. I was talking with Ray at the time I watched this clip... not to be disparaging but I think the rude blue baby bird footage would have been much more dramatic if it actually got HIT! I mean, geez... he pulled right out blocking oncoming traffic, then he stopped!

Hey, I received my new calendar today. It's really done nicely. Good job, Ray. - Dave
