Sorry for the dust on the frame poor thing been waiting for a body for awhile.
Made some simple resonator heat shields out of stainless steel and working on the muffler shields right now. Any thing to keep the heat off the floor seems like a good idea to me.
Added muffler shield picture.
Charley
And here's the muffler shields.

Here's an update on work in the shop.
Rebuilt the power brake booster, just had to stone hone the 1 inch bore, the only internal part serviced by aftermarket is the large bladder in the vacuum canister, lucky me both the small and large bladders where in great shape so we just had to modify a 1 inch wheel cylinder cup by punching a 3/16 hole in the center to reproduce the needed cup for the cylinder bore. We also refurbished both internal and external check valves by punch cutting new rubber plugs.
Also finished building the door glass assembly, sanded, polished stainless, sandblasted glass channel treated them for rust and rattle canned them gunmetal gray.
That power booster is easy as eating pie to rebuild at home just take photos as you take it apart and as long as the small bladder is good you can handle the rest.
Parts and material cost $32.78 that includes cooper rings and bleeder valve, and we have plenty of extras on them now.

Looks great! Reminds me that I need to rebuild my booster - bypassed it when I converted to disk brakes.Comment

@Dan, April 1st was the deadline don't know if I'll make it but I'm more use to cars from 1902 to 1914 so this Bird is kind of a new thing around the shop. We have always pushed the envelop with our builds they have to be top flight and buck the trend of the old guard, so we will see. We are also building a 1910 Buick for Disney Land and a 1914 Model T pickup plus doing about 5 to 10 collision repairs every week and their is only 7 of us working.
Plus all the minor repairs we have to do every day.
And we only work Monday to Friday.

Understand the work flow and yes, you are still running a business. Allocating time and resources is essential for any resto. The 1910 Buick should be sweet and especially tagged for DisneyDano Calgary,Alberta Canada

Starting to make all the connections we couldn't make without the body mounted to the frame. Trying to keep it looking stock under the hood. Reworked the brake booster vacuum line, master cylinder lines and built a trick road draft hole to manifold line for the PCV valve. A/C lines installed and about 25 other small tasks finished.
Next dist vac line and finish up the fake windshield wiper vac lines and running a remote battery cut off switch, so you don't have to mess with the battery terminals and a acc line to keep battery charged with out opening the hood for battery maintenance.
Charley
PS--Sorry about the dust.
