      help

Congratulations on getting your first Tbird! Ditto on Automotive Mileposts. You will find all kinds of info there on your '62 Bird. I would suggest that you buy the 1962 Shop Manual, Wiring Diagram manual, and/or Electrical Assembly manual, Body/Interior Trim manual, Engine Equipment Assembly manual (Ford used both of these on the assembly line to put the car together), Specification & Features manual, and lastly, a Thunderbird Restoration Guide. With these manuals for your year car you should have everything you need. They are available through most of the major Tbird parts places...

Hi, YellowRose is right on the monmey. I am doing a '62 and the shop manual is brilliant, it has exploded views of everything, right down to which fastener goes where. Also, take digital pics of everything you take apart as you go, my 'quick tidy-up' has turned into a major, without the photos I took I'd struggle to remember which bit goes where.
        Have fun!
