    C4 Trans

I searched posts for info on transmissions, finding C6 info but not anything on C4. Is a C4 a possible replacement for my 62? The C6 seems to require some mods. Would the C4 be a simpler replacement?

    Thanks

No. C4's won't work. They were made for small block motors like 289's, not big block FE motors.

They put C-4s behind 535cid Ford motors to drag race - but fitting one to and FE AND fitting it to a T-bird might be a big job.

Thanks for the info. I had read that Ford beefed up the C4 for big blocks and racing, but wasn't sure if T-Birds were included.
