Can anyone recommend a good rebuilder for the Carter on my 430. Starting to plan my winter tasks.

As long as they re-bush the throttle shafts, you're fine. That's the key to a good carb rebuild, other wise you just have a worn out carb with new gaskets. I'm sure the place he recommended does. If you're in Calif, Ace Fuel in Santa Clara is good and so is Electric Battery in San Jose. Both rebush and have flow benches.
