Convertible Top Clips??

For all of you guys with the convertibles, a friend is looking for the clips that hold on the very front molding for the top. Some of them broke during removal and some got lost when it went to the metals shop for straightening and polishing. My other friend John thought he bought some from an East coast company, but couldn't find any info on it.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Haven't called Carl yet, but most of the used parts include the clips with the molding. It also appears that these moldings are getting really hard to find.

The clips rust away or get damaged and there are no replacements. There are two different styles and two separate B8S part #'s for them I've been. able to find some that I modify to do the job. Am at the Hershey now, but if you send me a PM after Sat. I can get more info. Any body clip that has a threaded stud and can be centered in the trim piece can also be modified.
