    rain coming in

I have a leak on the drivers side of my t-bird, after a rain I notice the floof mat wet. I was driving in a storm the other day when I noticed my feet getting wet. question, where should I be checking first , at the windshield or the cowl vent?

    RE: rain coming in

Remove the little painted finishing panels at each end of the windshield. These are adjacent to the cowl vents. Underneath the tape and sealant deteriorates allowing water in. The finishing panels have a nut that needs to be removed from the interior of the car.

You may also want to check the little rubber piece on the door.............where the drain hole is.......it may be cracked.......allowing water to seep in. They are reproduced now.
