Penelope's broker has emailed him to alert him there is a 1963 Red "M" Code Bulletbird Roadster for sale in Colorado! He passed on it because his garages and sheds are full and he has two more on the water coming his direction. So he said I could post this for him on the Forum.
Here is what I know about it, according to what was sent to Bill.
"This is a very rare car, one of only 18 '63 TBird coupes built with the 340HP 390" engine, with special cam, higher compression & tripower. (M is the 5th digit in the VIN) A Colorado car with minimal rust, it runs great with a 4bbl on it now, but the original 3 X 2bbl setup is in the trunk. I have many more photos, showing the rust free underside etc, just let me know if you'd like to see them.
$7800 delivered in LA for shipping."
I do not know what the asking price would be in the Colorado or general area. According to the article I just put up from Thunderbird Illustrated Magazine on the "M" Code Bulletbirds, there were only 37 1963 "M" Code Bulletbirds made. Of that, some of them had the 406CI engine in them. So that 18 number quoted above might be right. In the trunk of this car is what looks to be a brand spanking new 6V Tri-Power carb just waiting to be put on! That is worth a mint by itself.
If you are interested in this Tbird, one of the rarest of them all, you had better act fast because Bill says his car broker will probably move this fast now that he has passed on buying it. Read through the "M" Code article in Thunderbirds Illustrated Magazine that I just posted in the Technical Resource Library, down under "Magazines & Periodicals" section.
The car needs interior work, new seat and back cushions, new side panels, maybe, maybe a new dash pad, and the trunk redone. But hey, this is probably the most rarest of all Tbirds. You would want to get the VIN # verified. It should be a 3Y89M in it and I would ask for pictures of that VIN # on the Data Plate and on a frame or section in the engine bay to double check it to be sure someone has not made a Z car to look like an M car.... I thought it might be a Limited Edition Landau, but there is no plaque to that effect under the AC unit on the center console. Here are some pix of a Limited Edition Landau.

Here is the contact information that Bill provided me with. His name is Bill Johansson Classic Cars ~ billsclassicars@gmail.com If this interests you at all you had better act quickly before it is sold. Bill will now tell others about it, since he knows that Penelope does not want to go for it. Here are what pix I have it and he has many more.
I just got another email from Bill ~ Penelope! Bill ~ Classic Car guy also knows where there is a white '63 "M" Code minus the Tri-Power carb for sale. He says it is a fairly decent care but will also need some work. The interior of the white '63 "M" code is in much better condition, actually, pretty good than the red one. I have the VIN # and Data Plate information on the white one, but not the red one. He will get it for me.
