retrofit locking torque converter to '66 tranny?

Folks,

Can an locking torque converter be retrofitted into a cruise-o-matic or C6? I don't care about overdrive, I just want the lockup feature.

The answer is no

I've asked some tranny guys, and locking torque converters cannot be retrofitted. An entire new transmission can be though.
