JigSaw Puzzle

Anders, I am glad you got your puzzle already and have it half together. I am in New Mexico for Christmas. I have scoured the Walmart here for more puzzles to no avail. I even checked the local Hobby Lobby. They DID have some Dan Hatala puzzles, but not "Starlite Theatre". I would suggest checking out Hobby Loby.

Well I tried all 3 Walmarts here & the Hobby Lobby to no avail. I did finally see 2 different Dan Hatala puzzles at the final Wally world. It was the old firetruck picture & the other one was the black/white 1958 vette @ the gas station.

Oh well....

Thanks very much for trying! I also saw several other Dan Hatala puzzles, but certainly not the one that we are looking for. If there are others that want them, they are going to have to search their local Walmarts, Kmarts, Sears, ToysRUs, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Barnes&Nobles, Waldenbooks, Borders, Michaels Crafts, Joann Craft. Those are ones that used to stock them. I think the problem is that this puzzle came out a year or two ago, and has run its course. Most copies have been bought or turned back in as not being sold. We just got lucky and found a few copies still hanging around. However, there might be more out there. It is a matter of getting out and looking. I can tell you that Walmart, Kmart/Sears, Michaels, and Barnes&Nobles had no more in their inventory. But they still could have some on their shelves in their stores... Good Luck!

I took a trip into OK last night & I stopped in Lawton & Chickasa. I searched the Target, K-Mart, & both Walmarts to no avail again.

Either jigsaw puzzles were a hot Christmas item this year, or someone else on here was in the SAME stores before me looking for the SAME thing! LOL!!

Just to add some more "pieces to the puzzle".... Jay, wildcat15 said this. "The top 2-3 inches are a challenge. Also, I showed the puzzle to one of my co-workers who did a search and found that there once was a Drive-in called the Starlite Theatre in Waterloo, Iowa. Which is about 20 miles south of Waverly. You said that you found out that the artist (Dan Hatala) in question is from Waverly."

Yup, that is what his publicist told me in a telephone conversation.
