I just got a 1959 Thunderbird and I'm sticking with the original red and white interior colors it came with. I bought a new dash that came in black and am going to paint it red but I cannot find any info on that original red color. does anyone know who would carry that match or send me a link? Thanks

Here is a link for some 1959 trim codes: http://automotivemileposts.com/tbird...eriortrim.html

I am going through the same thing, but with my 60. I have found that the Rustoleum "Heritage Red" works well for metal parts and the SEM aerosol Portola Red works pretty well for the vinyl. I am going to a paint shop this week to see if they can custom match my new vinyl with a custom mix. I have a lot to dye, as I am doing a color change.

1959 Red and White interior paint match?
I assume that your dash on the car presently is red. If it is and your red dash is coming off the dash frame, cut a small piece of material off and take it to a NAPA Paint Store, or other paint store and show them the red material. Then they should be able to match the color and tell you which color you need. And mix and fill a few spray cans of it in that color for you.

Does anyone have experience with the Color Bond interior paint sold by Concours? I ordered some dark blue paint for my '60 convertible, and I know they sell the red color for the '59 interior.Todd Gilroy
