Front "suspension assembly on the 63 was a much more complicated affair than that used on two previous years. Improvements were for ride,handling,and reliability The Ford Motor Company (the bottom of the front shock bolt through not stud)
Rear springs differed from 61/62 in that leaf spring assembly was upgraded for improved ride ahndling over the earlier versions The Ford Motor Company
HD shocks both recommende for front and rear as these birds
